Water Reserves are Improving But Still Remain Low
Southern California continues to face significant water supply challenges. Please don’t forget to conserve water…every day.  Even if it rains.

To encourage permanent reduction in the unnecessary use of water, the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD) and its member water agencies have created a number of rebate programs for the purchase of water conserving devices.

Effective June 1, 2010 through April 30, 2011 (or until funds are depleted, whichever comes first), SoCal Water$mart region-wide rebates are available for various water-efficient purchases for your home. Over 95,000 households have participated in contributing to significant water savings for Southern California. High-efficiency toilet rebates are no longer part of the regional program. However, High-efficiency toilet rebates of $100 are still available within the City of Los Angeles to customers of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.

The link to the MWD “Get Your Rebate” site is: http://socalwatersmart.com/getyourrebate. Included on this site is a list of qualifying High-efficiency toilets. To begin the online application process, click the button marked “Submit Online: Indoor Products” and fill in the requested information.
